From about late August to the Present....times have been kinda tough for me. From not transferring to Morgan State University in Baltimore to bombing Midterms last week (and all bad things in between)....these past few months have been trying to say the least. I was, at one point, "depressed" about my current situation and my progression in life. It hit me recently that in a little over 30 days I will be turning 20 years old. "20" is a big number to me. It made me reasses my values, self-worth, my goals in Life, and how I want to be remembered when this thing is all over. What came to mind most during this analyzation was my
INSPIRATION. What makes me get out of bed and head to school every morning? What makes me sketch in this pad and craft my ideas? What makes me blog? What makes me create?
I have barely written many paragraphs on the blog to this point, but I will now attempt to speak to my
Inspirations in the hopes that they will carry me into the new a better 2010...and Beyond.
Fashion inspires me. Although I haven't followed these runway shows and designers for that long, creation has always flowed through my veins, and I have no doubt in my mind that this is the only industry I could ever picture myself being in.
Music inspires me. If I didn't want to be a designer, I would
try to be a musician. What they do amazes me. The melodies, the rhythm, the lyrics, the color, the sound....brilliant. And the fact that a select group of musicians actually view their finished product as artwork only emphasizes my point.
My Peers inspire me. Even though my state is not a Mecca of Wealth and Creation like I wish it was, there are groves of talented youngsters out here making a name for themselves. I know up & coming Photographers, Dancers, Models, Painters, Singers....whatever you want, I've seen them around here. And don't let me get started with people I've come in connect with in other parts of the Nation!! New York, Miami, Atlanta, Philadelphia, Boston, Los Angeles....there are some "Monsters on the Rise"...and they are right under your noses. People like Aston and Mozie, Coco and Breezy, Phil from Award Tour, Brook Deslouches, Mark and Roxy with PRMTVE...the list goes on....Google them! I am astonished; honestly. I have great respect for each of the individuals mentions and I hope their talent and ambition carries them to a Haven of Success.....

Art inspires me. That's pretty much self explanatory.
Africa inspires me.
My Mother inspires me. She is the Vision of the
Woman I want to end up with; my
Queen.
My Father inspires me. He is the Vision of the
Man I one day hope to become. MJ inspires me;

Being picked on as a Kid inspires me.
Love inspires me. As the good folks at GAS'D say...
LOVE IS REAL. I agree. As I explore the true meaning and depth of the word my Mind grows.....and hopefully, my Heart does too.
Poor kids who cant afford designer shit.....so they sew "Tigers and Alligators" on their shirts....they inspire me.
Women inspire me. True
WOMEN. I Love you all. Remember that.
Every kid who has ever worked a bullshit Job in the Summer or after your college classes are done for the day....just to put gas in your car and support whatever it is you Love to do....You inspire me.
Thunderstorms and Rainy Days inspire me. So does the
Sunshine....it inspires me.
Seeing Kanye in person last Summer during the Glow in the Dark tour....it inspired me.
Elle, Vanity Fair, Vogue, V, W, & Harper's (amongst others)....they all inspire me.
Freedom inspires me.
Being Remembered inspires me.

I believe the one thing that keeps me doing what I do, keeps me focused, keeps me up at Night...are My Dreams. Have you ever Dreamed before? Literally DREAMED about a day, event, situation in your future, a fear, a failure, and a ultimate success. I've had these Dreams before. My only goal in life is live with Peace and Honesty....and achieve success so that my Parents and Loves ones don't have to work as hard. I hope the things above along with the other million thoughts that race through my mind can carry me into something better.....
